KJ Goaltending is ran by local former goalie Kris Joyce. Kris brings a decade of summer goalie coaching experience and has been dedicated to coaching full-time since 2021. His junior hockey career spanned four impressive seasons, starting with the Sicamous Eagles in the KIJHL and progressing to the La Ronge Ice Wolves in the SJHL, where he was honored as the SJHL MVP in his final season. At the University of Windsor, he continued to excel, being named Rookie of the Year in his sole season there. His prowess caught the attention of the LA Kings, leading to his participation in their development and training camps, and subsequently launching his professional career. Kris spent four seasons playing professional hockey across Norway and Sweden. Currently, he is the Director of Goaltender Development for PGMHA and holds directorial positions for Cariboo Hockey and the Northstars Hockey Academy. Kris is also a skills coach for PGSS Polars Hockey. His extensive experience both on the ice and behind the bench fuels his passion for developing the next generation of goaltending talent.
